ien’s sound work is very situational - they work mostly in theater. Ephemeral noises that work contextually are largely the goal. They are hard to reproduce out of context… but here we go.

Silent Sky
by Lauren Gunderson
A production directed by Melissa Pfundstein, the light from a NASA photo of a nebula was used to generate midi signals and the resulting tones manipulated into the sounds of the heavens. An overarching theme of the show took the sound from a more traditional piano based into more cosmic and tonal.
